Tutors — Paid Role

About the Role

The Disability Resource Centre is looking for experienced and passionate Tutors to deliver training and educational sessions to disabled people, carers and professionals across Bedfordshire. This is a flexible paid role with sessions running throughout the year.

What You'll Be Doing

As a DRC Tutor you will plan and deliver engaging training sessions on topics relevant to disability, independent living, rights and wellbeing. Sessions may be delivered in-person at our Bedford centre or remotely via video call.

  • Deliver training sessions to groups of up to 15 participants

  • Prepare session materials, handouts and resources in accessible formats

  • Adapt content and delivery style to meet the needs of the group

  • Provide feedback reports following each session

  • Work with the DRC team to develop new course content as needed

What We're Looking For

  • Experience delivering training or teaching in a community, health or social care setting

  • Strong knowledge of disability, independent living or a related specialism

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage a diverse audience

  • Ability to work flexibly and independently

  • A warm, patient and inclusive approach

Role Details

Hours: Flexible — sessions booked as required

Pay: £25 per hour

Contract: Sessional/ongoing

Location: Bedford centre and/or remote
